In an orchestra you have the different sections contributing to performing the piece of music. They are all following the score which has been written for the different parts. Underpinning the music is the standard, accepted notation that is the same for all even though the notes and timing are different. The success can be heard in the rendition of the piece of music where all the parts dovetail to produce the music you hear.
In a business this equates to individuals and teams working to achieve the success the company strategy calls for.
In a business like an orchestra there are multiple sections but unlike an orchestra there isn't a standard, accepted notation. Each individual performing a task applies their own interpretation of how to achieve it, each team does the same and overall the results (success) can vary wildly.
Much like the orchestra if everyone had the same underpinning notation which includes a mindset and language imagine the sound of success.
